We celebrated Bob's 54th birthday yesterday...and, boy! Did we celebrate!! I started with a pitcher of regualr margaritas and then Bob made me at least two pitchers of blackberry ones...wooohooo...wasn't that a party??
French Polynesia is a collection of islands in the South Pacific. It's made up of several groups of Polynesian Islands, the famous being Tahiti, whick is in the Society Island group. It is also the island with the most population.
The first of these islands to be settled by indigenous Polynesians were the Marquesas Islands in 300 AD and the Society Islands in 800 AD.
...Off the wind on this heading lies the Marquesas, we got 80 feet of water line, nicely making way, in a noisy bar in Avalon I tried to call you, but on the midnight watch I realized why twice you ran away...
More excitement in the last few days...we have baby birds now!
See 'em? I thinking of calling them Homer and Marge.
Taking off for more grub!
I 'spose the blog couldn't be complete without a picture of our beloved little vulture....

French Polynesia has a moderately developed economy, which is dependednt on imported goods, tourism and the financial assistance of mainland France. The biggest agricultural products are: coconuts, vanilla, fruits and vegetables. Natural resources include: timber, fish and cobalt. The major export in 2008 was black Tahitian pearls which accounted for 55% of exports. French Polynesia has one of the lowest crime rates within France or it's territories. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing or purse snatching do occur.

Today was just one of the beautiful days that makes you glad you're alive!

I started the Tahitian Pork with around 2 lbs. of lean pork, which I cubed up.

And I used green onion and chives from my garden for the potato dish...

The Potato Appetizers are rolled in wheat germ, and I seasoned mine with salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little paprika for color.

After they are baked, and this is what they look like...we LOVED these!

The Tahitian pork...sorry Ken from CA, I used to think your Root Beer Pork Chops were to die for, but this...OMG!! Fantastic!

It gets served over shredded lettuce...

And the Watermelon Star Salad

And the Frozen Raspberry Desserts...I'm thinking that out of 25 countries, this one is right up there in the top 2!

Groceries for dinner tonight ran me $10.03. I was able to pitch $9.97 in to the Beach Bag for a total after week 25 $142.54.

...I think about how many times I have fallen, spirits are using me, larger voices callin', what heaven brought you and me, cannot be forgotten...I have been around the world...

The charity I want to mention this week would be the American Cancer Society, for obvious reasons...and I am proud to report with Bob that he almost has his normal voice back!!
I have to say that yes, the rumors are true, I have created a new website for the blogs and will be moving them over there after next week. I promised a giveaway and I will keep my word on that! If you want in on the contest, email your AR screen name to witchywomanslifeinanrv at hotmail dot com. A lot of thought went into the decision to move these...the site is beautiful, to say the least and that's the main reason and the other reason is I want these blogs to retain their fun, light-hearted spirit, so it wasn't a spur of the moment decision. If you want the link to the new site, send me an email and I'll shoot you it on over.
Next week is the drawing for the box full of stuff! I have shopped little by little each week and added to this box and all I can say is that it is full of stuff, all different kinds of stuff and one of you will win it! This week we had luvdemsaints pick Saudi Arabia and Stevie, the crazy cook chose England, hands down...for week 26 and my milemark halfway point, next week is......England! I'll see you around next week and until then, peace!
